Riding Lessons

Lessons are taught by positive, enthusiastic, professional instructors who enjoy their students and the challenge of teaching them to ride.  Because our class size is small, students are able to learn at their own pace.  We offer quality instruction with the best value for your lesson dollar.  As riders progress, Everlong provides the opportunity to participate in horse shows in addition to offering horses and ponies for half and full lease.

 

Everlong lessons offerPositive teaching methods Everlong instructors emphasize balance, communication, proper position, fun and safety with the result that our riders are well trained and confident.

Horsemanship based curriculum Students learn to ride in the context of proper horse care and handling.  Communication between horse and rider is emphasized at all times.  Grooming and tacking up are taught at every lesson.

Small class size Only four students per class.  Classes are established with students of similar skills and whenever possible like ages.  The minimum age for group lessons is seven years old.  Students younger than seven can be accommodated in smaller semi-private lessons.

Experienced Instructors USHJA Certified.  For all ages and all levels.

Reliable school horses The “other” half of a good teaching team is safe ponies and horses.  Everlong has all shapes and sizes of mounts to help build confidence and make learning to ride an exciting yet safe experience.

  

Riding like many sports requires repetition and practice.  Riders should develop both correct position and proper cues to communicate with their mounts, and the “feel” of the horse evolves from time in the saddle.  Your lesson program will be custom structured to ensure your riding goals are reached.  Be it a first exploration of horses and riding, a lifelong passion, or moving toward ownership and/or serious competition the goal for our riders is to learn to ride with skill and confidence…and have fun doing it!

MONTHLY LESSONS

Our lesson program is designed for all levels of riders.  Beginners are started out in private lessons until they are proficient and confident enough to join a small group.  Students are matched to appropriate lesson horses depending on size and ability.  Discounts are offered in the pre-paid monthly packages which include 4 lessons per month.

Private lessons (one hour) - $65.00 per lesson, or $240 per monthly package ($60 per lesson).

 

Group lessons (one + hour) - $50 per lesson, or $180 per monthly package ($45 per lesson).

 

Assessment/Evaluation ride fee: $50 (for riders who have taken lessons prior to Everlong Equestrian Centre).  We operate efficiently by having ongoing classes comprised of the same riders, availability for drop in riders can be very limited but we will do our best to accommodate every one.
