About Us
We are a small, in-home breeder that fell in love with the amazing Golden Retrievers. At Everlong our dedication to raising exceptional Golden Retriever puppies with a thoughtful focus on sound structure, trainability, robust health, and outstanding temperaments is unsurpassed. Our breeding adults have passed their comprehensive health testing. Hip/elbow, eye and heart OFA clearances (along with DNA testing for ichthyosis and progressive retinal atrophy and more) and impressive lineage to produce amazing offspring. Each litter is carefully planned with longevity and overall well-being in mind, preserving the qualities that make the Golden Retriever such a beloved companion.
Our puppies are raised right in our home on our 33-acre farm in Mineral Springs, NC., where they receive daily interaction, early socialization, and the individual attention they deserve. From our home to yours, we are committed to providing families with Golden Retrievers of unsurpassed quality; puppies bred not only for health, beauty and conformation, but for loving hearts and long, healthy lives.

From Gentle Beginnings to Confident Companions
At Everlong Equine and Canine, bringing a puppy into the world is a responsibility we take to heart. Our program is built on intentional breeding, early neurological development, structured socialization, and hands-on daily care. From their very first days, our focus is thoughtful preparation and confident foundations — so your puppy transitions seamlessly from our home to yours.
Early Development: Building the Foundation
As their eyes open and their personalities begin to shine, our puppies are gently introduced to the world in safe, positive ways.
During this stage, we incorporate:

Everyday household noises such as TV, children playing, and soft music

Early desensitization to touch, gentle restraint, and new sensations
We also begin early potty-training foundations. Puppies learn there is a designated “right place” to go, which significantly eases the transition into your home.
Weeks 6–8: Preparing for Life With You
The final weeks before going home are dedicated to strengthening confidence, reinforcing good habits, and carefully evaluating temperament.
Each puppy receives:

Continued socialization with new sights, sounds, objects, and environments

Reinforced potty-training habits

Grooming desensitization (baths, nail trims, and gentle brushing)

We learn who is bold, who is gentle, who is playful, and who is thoughtful — then thoughtfully match each puppy with the family where they will thrive most naturally.
By eight weeks of age, your puppy has been intentionally loved, guided, and prepared to leave our home confident and ready to flourish in yours.

To begin on this adventure, please complete our puppy application:
2. Application Review & Deposit:
Once submitted, your application will be carefully reviewed. Upon approval (prepare for happy tail wags!), you'll have 72 hours to secure your place on our puppy list with a deposit.

While deposits are non-refundable (we're serious about finding the perfect matches!), they are transferable to a future litter with advance notice. Please note that a deposit is only valid for the person who placed it and cannot be transferred to another individual. For your convenience, we accept Zelle, cash (if local), Venmo, or checks. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on our litter’s waitlist. Puppy selections are made in the order that deposits are received. For your convenience deposits can be paid through Zelle, cash (if local), Venmo, or checks. The remaining balance is due at the time of puppy pickup. Let the countdown to puppy snuggles begin!

3. Policies and important information:

Our Visiting Policy:
Our puppies are not available for public tours. Because they are raised in our private residence, we maintain a closed kennel policy to protect our home, our dogs, and their health from potentially devastating diseases.
For the safety of our puppies and ourselves, on-site visits are not permitted. This policy allows us to devote our full attention to the specialized care, socialization, and strict sanitation practices required to raise healthy Golden Retrievers. Limiting outside foot traffic helps us maintain a bio-secure environment and keeps our nursing mothers calm and stress-free. We understand that choosing a breeder requires trust, and we remain committed to transparency.

You will be invited to visit at Puppy pick up time. This day will occur at our farm when the puppies are 8 weeks old. Non-local buyers have the option of using our flight nanny service or ground transportation. For flight nanny services, please schedule with Kari at 704-453-6026. Ground transportation is $40 per hour round trip based on Google Maps, up to 8 hours.

Breeding rights may be sold for puppies that will make top breeding prospects for an additional $1,000. A genetic panel will be run on the puppy so you are able to get the puppy you need for your program.
